USB flash drives to be the most used media type for storing data away from a PC or laptop, but they are also susceptible to faults. Power surges from either the PC or laptop, through the flash drive causes the USB to malfunction and stop working; this is the most common problem, with physical damage to the USB usually caused by knocking the flash drive whilst it is in the computer.
Your data, in the vast majority of cases will be still there, but will need to recovered and then restored to either a CD/DVD or USB flash drive. We can also do the same for SD cards.
